This is a great recipe for the meat lovers.  You can make this healthier by swapping out the beef for ground chicken or ground turkey. The dressing is everything, so it’s a must-have accompaniment to this salad.

In a medium-sized skillet, brown the ground beef. Add Worcestershire sauce and onion powder, salt and pepper to taste. Cook the meat, about 8-10 minutes until no longer pink.

Make the dressing.

In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients. An optional step is to blend the dressing to make it creamy, but I like the chunks of pickles in it. Refrigerate until you are ready to use it.

Assemble the salad.

Add the shredded lettuce and cabbage, tomatoes, and diced onions to a platter. Once you are ready to serve dinner, top with the warmed ground beef then the cheese. Then drizzle on the dressing and toss. Topping with more pickles is always a good idea. And don’t forget the sesame seeds.

I serve this with biscuits quartered and cooked in a skillet so you can take a small piece and dip into salad.

Such a great weeknight meal! Enjoy!
