Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups 2 % milk (Lactaid, soy milk, almond milk or rice milk may be substituted)
  • 2 small ripened bananas (slightly browning)
  • 1 tablespoon Organic Flax seed
  • a few tablespoons freshly brewed coffee (cooled) (or more)
  • a dash or two of cinnamon
  • ice cubes
  • 1-2 teaspoons of creamy almond butter
  • mason jars for serving

Get yourself in tip, top “shake” this morning! This shake will really wake you up, and give you a jump start on your morning. Don’t have time for coffee AND breakfast, blend them together in this delicious shake! Here are the simple directions.

In a high speed blender, add in 2 bananas, 1 1/2 cups milk (or substitutes), 2 teaspoons creamy almond butter, 1 tablespoon of organic flax seeds, dash cinnamon, a few tablespoons or more of freshly brewed cooled coffee, and a few large ice cubes. Blend on high until all the ice has broken down and the texture is creamy and smooth.

Pour into two mason jars for drinking and enjoy! Rise and SHINE and enjoy your day!

*for an added health benefit add some ground ginger which has anti-inflammatory properties.
