Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond milk, unsweetened ( I like Califia Farms)
  • 1 small banana (frozen, optional)
  • 1/2 cup organic spinach/kale mix, packed
  • 1 kiwi, peeled
  • 1/2 organic granny smith apple, washed and skin on
  • 1 tablespoon sugar-free maples syrup or sweetener
  • Ice as needed

This is a great way to get those greens and fruit in first thing in the morning and start your day off with mindful and nutritious eating. This eye-catching shake is so healthy and at the same time it’s so delicious. It’s creamy and sweet, but not too sweet. This recipe makes enough for 1 large shake or 2 smaller ones. This is a great shake to prep by adding all the ingredients to a plastic bag and freezing it. This makes morning routines run smoothly.

In a high-speed blender, add the almond milk, banana, spinach/kale mix, apple, kiwi, maple syrup (or sweetener) and ice. Blend until the shake reaches desired consistency. Add to a tall glass and enjoy!

Note: feel free to experiment with different milk alternatives or even coconut water for a more refreshing taste.

This shake is great after a workout or during the summer months when you need a refreshing drink that is packed with vitamins and minerals.
