This is a great idea for a party celebration. I make this in the summer alot because there is no bake time required. Everyone devours this, so double the recipe for a big crowd. Here are the simple directions:
In a medium sized saucepan heat the condensed milk, butter and chocolate chips until the chocolate chips are completely melted. Heat on low heat. You do not want it to burn because it will impact the taste of the chocolate. Once melted, add in the vanilla. Take off the heat and mix in 1/4 cup of party sprinkles, add more for topping. Pour fudge into a square pan lined with parchment paper. Top with more sprinkles.
Allow to cool completely at room temperature, about 2-3 hours. Then place in the refrigerator overnight to properly set.
Next day, take out of pan by holding onto sides of parchment paper. Place on a cutting board and cut into tiny squares. Peel off any remaining parchment paper. Serve and enjoy! It’s that easy.
Note: There are recipes I have seen using flour when making fudge, I do not recommend using uncooked flour. Some chocolate may be fussy, so feel free to experiment with different kinds – I really like Ghirardelli. Also, adding food dye at the end works too. You can swirl it in to create a tie dye effect or thoroughly incorporate just one color. Have fun with it!
