The combination of these 2 powerhouse fruits: blueberries & pomegranate, create a delicious and satisfying smoothie to start your day. Power-up after your long workout with this delicious smoothie bowl! You can top it with frozen berries, pomegranates, granola, chia seeds, and even some nuts like roasted and salted almonds. Yummy.

Making the Smoothie.

In a high-speed blender add the banana, almond milk, blueberries, pomegranates, sweetener, and juice of one lemon. Blend it for 1 minute then stir it. If you are adding yogurt, it can be very thick and tends to get stuck on the sides as does the honey. If so, blend again until it’s creamy and smooth. You’ll want this a little liquidy for the smoothie bowl, so add more milk as needed.

Pour the smoothie in the bowls and add your favorite toppings. This is the fun part!

Building the Smoothie Bowl.

Add some more frozen berries, pomegranate seeds, sunflower or pumpkin seeds, nuts, granola, or shredded coconut. Make it pretty!

This is a powerhouse breakfast with powerhouse fruits! It’s also almost too pretty to eat. Ha-ha!

Alternative Smoothie Blends: blueberry & blackberries or blueberries & raspberries

Enjoy!
