  • 1 tablespoon raspberry sorbet
  • 1/2 fresh lemon
  • squeeze honey

Basil & Raspberry shake

This super green shake is surprisingly delicious despite the unusual combination of sweet basil and raspberry. Shake it up once in a while! Basil has many health benefits one of which is to clear skin blemishes. There are over 60 varieties of basil. We grow our own basil, so we cut it as we need it in various recipes. We add it to our sauce, shakes, and omelets with some feta cheese. You feta believe it’s good!

Directions:
Wash 3 large basil leaves and pat dry. Wash a small handful of baby spinach and dry on a paper towel or clean dish towel. Add 8 ounces of orange juice, 1 1/2 bananas, 3 basil leaves, spinach, 1/2 of a fresh lemon squeezed, 1 tablespoon of raspberry sorbet, a squeeze of honey and crushed ice. Blend these well until there are no more ice chunks. It is a really nice way to start your day.
