These are kid-approved chicken nuggets that are healthy and flavorful. They are a must try! The dipping sauce is creamy and offers added protein to an already high-protein meal. Yum! Go light on the gochujang sauce -it’s super spicy!
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
In a large bowl, add the chicken, flour, egg, seasonings, and parmesan cheese. Mix with a fork until well combined. Set aside.
Line a large baking sheet with an oven-safe wire rack and spray it with nonstick cooking spray.
In a small bowl, add the breadcrumbs and seasonings. Mix to thoroughly combine. Scoop up 2 tablespoons of the chicken mixture, shape into a nugget, and dredge in seasoned breadcrumbs to fully coat the nuggets.
Place each nugget onto the prepared wire rack, leaving about 1 inch of space between pieces. Spray the nuggets and bake for 15-20 or until crispy and internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.
Note: If you do not have a wire rack, simply use parchment paper and bake for 8 minutes and flip and bake an additional 12 minutes. They are less likely to get soggy if you use the wire rack.
Next, combine the sauce ingredients. Gochujang sauce is very spicy, so start with one teaspoon and see how you like it. Mix everything well to thoroughly combine.
Dip the nuggets in the sauce and I promise these will be loved by all!
