This is my Aunt Kitty’s Famous Cherry Cheesecake Recipe. You can omit the cherries and just serve the cheesecake. My Aunt and Uncle would host a New Year’s day party every year and would serve this cake. Your company will love this cheesecake and will rave about it for years to come! It’s worth all the steps it takes to make it.
Holiday Centerpiece
For the focal point of my dining room table I use an assortment of candles of varying sizes, and cut fresh greens from around my yard. If you are seating everyone around the table, it’s best to keep your arrangement low so everyone can see each other from across the table. Otherwise, if you are doing buffet style and everyone is moving around the room, you can go high with your arrangement as you see in this photo. Cutting fresh greens reminds me of my mother. She would often cut fresh greens from her garden.
I use the battery operated candles, so I don’t have to worry about blowing them out.
Manicotti for the busy family
These is no doubt that fresh pasta is delicious, but it’s also a time consuming process and to produce a large quantity (I always seem to make large quantities of everything, after all I’m Italian!) takes a long time! So I opt for the pasta in the box for this recipe. I can tell you that if you follow this recipe you will not be disappointed, and your guests will be impressed and leave full! Anyone who visits us for the holiday knows to come hungry. Try my Homemade Manicotti. It is delicious and the entire process takes a little over one hour. Mange!
A Holiday Favorite growing up
This recipe is a holiday favorite. Growing up we would often spend the holidays with my cousins and my uncle would make this delicious stuffing. Traditional Sausage and Herb Stuffing. Although he did not add cranraisins, I think the combination of salty and sweet go well together. Enjoy!
