There is nothing better than a long day at the beach, swimming in the ocean, boogie boarding, collecting shells, visiting with family, and catching the rays. But, it can get pretty steamy. Try this easy treat to cool off. Peel a ripened (outside should be slightly brown) banana, and place in a plastic bag in the freezer. Let it freeze overnight. In the middle of a hot summer day at the beach, take these out of the freezer, slice up into bite size chunks or keep whole and let the kids cool off while watching the waves crash upon the shore. If you have little ones you can make them into frozen pops, this way they can take tiny bites. Frozen grapes are a great too! Sweet and healthy.
